It’s maybe one of the most asked questions, and not always the easiest to answer. As every country in south-east asia, the weather is mostly fine in Bali and Nusa Lembongan, and there is a bit more rain between November and February, as it is the rainy season in this area.

Even so it is a little bit more wet between November and February, it is usually many showers, and the rest of the day can be fine, it is not as bad as some other country like Thailand, when rain can fall for days during the wet season. Also at the time of the year it tends to be less crowdy, with cheapest accommodation options and still great diving conditions, with a water a bit warmer than the rest of the year.

You can check www.windguru.cz.
You’ll find general informations about the weather in Bali, like the temperature, the rainfall, the wave and wind direction around Nusa Lembongan, and for the week. You can then decide about your stay with the same informations that we use everyday. If the north wind is strong and the wave bigger than 2 meters, we will not be able to go to manta point, even though the Manta are here all year long!!

I am sea sick, which boat di you recommend to get to Lembongan. 2017-09-23T04:32:47+00:00

First we recommend you to take a sick sickness pill about 30 minutes before boarding, then the trip to Lembongan from Sanur by speedboat is only 25 minutes, so you should be alright. Maybe check the weather on www.windguru.org and make sure there is not too much waves if you want to have the most quiet trip as possible.

The trip from the Gilis Island is 2h, and therefore a quiet sea and a pill will be your best chance to have an easy journey, as all the boat are pretty designed the same.

Do you i need an dive insurance in Indonesia? 2017-09-23T04:37:18+00:00

Some companies ask you to have an insurance and some other don’t, it is not compulsory in Asia. Also at french kiss divers, we recommend you strongly to have a diving insurance, not that the chance of having an accident is big, but if something does happen it tends to be very expensive, and it only take a few euro a day to save your day.

Anyhow, we cannot enough recommend you to get a travel insurance if your travel in Asia or somewhere out of your country.

For the try dive and try scuba diving program, as it is not a certification, it is not compulsory to be a very good swimmer, but it is better if you are comfortable in the water and that like practicing water sports and spend time in the sea or at the swimming pool.

On the other hand if you decide to do the open water course, you’ll have to go thru some water staminas and show that you are a confortable swimmer. You’ll have to swim 200m without any aid using any technic as long as you show that you are confortable, or do 300 meters swim with mask, fins and snorkel, plus you’ll have to show that you can float for 10 minutes without any aid. No need to be an olympic champion, just show us that you have enough control as a swimmer.
